Katie Marie Sexton

Katie Marie Sexton, in the presence of angels, made the journey to join her Lord and Savior on November 11, 2024.

The youngest of two children, she was born in Havre de Grace on June 12, 1986 to Joseph Fred Jr. and Deborah Sexton. During her lifetime Katie was known for her brightness, beautiful personality and kind, gentle spirit. Her smile and laugh was infectious and her heart radiated pure love to those who were fortunate enough to be in her presence.

Katie worked as a nurse and used her unmatched skills to help heal and restore lives. Growing up she was her Daddy’s girl and now they reside together once again. Her special interests and hobbies included mustang cars (when she wasn’t crashing them) Tigger “stuff”, and binge-watching Law & Order. Her favorite things were spending time with her niece and nephew whom she adored and holiday dinners (Mom’s mashed potatoes). The height and breadth of Katie’s love for her family and the many ways she tenderly displayed her love was far greater than words can express. Equally, the love of Katie’s immediate and extended family for her always has been and continues to be immeasurable.

Left to honor and remember her love are her mother, Debbie; brother, Joseph III (Kristy) niece, Madison and nephew, Joseph IV. Katie was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Fred Sexton, Jr.

Services and interment will remain private and at the convenience of the family.
