Kathryn Marcella Young

Kathryn 'Kathy' Marcella Young, 86 of Rising Sun, MD, died Friday, November 11, 2011 at home. Born in Butterfield, MN, on September 28, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward and the late Marie Hubin Rupp. She was a Veteran Missionary with CAM International Central American Missions retiring from active service in 1985. Kathy was a member of Grace Bible Chapel. She was active in the Cecil County Prison Ministry for women at the Cecil County Detention Center. She was also an accomplished artist, selling her work and donating the money to missions. She is survived by her husband: Donald E. Young of Rising Sun, MD; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Stephen Schappert and Rev. William Scott will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Grace Bible Chapel, 1949 Joseph Biggs Highway, Rising Sun, MD, where friends may call one hour prior to services also. Interment will be Thursday, November 17, 2011 at 11:00 AM in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to CAM International, in care of Crouch Funeral Home, P.A.
