Kathryn Settlemyre

Kathryn Lee Settlemyre Kitty, 75 of North East, MD, died Sunday, May 29, 2011 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in North East, MD, on August 31, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Everett and the late Beulah Reynolds McCall. Kitty, a school bus driver in Cecil County for 38 years, loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and enjoyed cooking for them. She also enjoyed car rides in the Pennsylvania country side driving through covered bridges. Survived by her children: Mary Ann Settlemyre of Elkton, MD, Joyce Ann Sweetman and husband Tom of Elkton, MD David G. Settlemyre and wife Debbie of Elkton, MD, Robert Lee Settlemyre and Lynette Chesapeake City, MD, and Donald Allen Settlemyre and wife Cyndi of Charlestown, MD brother: E. Nelson McCall of North East, MD. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Kitty is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years David G, Settlemyre Sr., daughter Carolyn L. Terry, sister: Joyce Ann Cecil and brother Jack McCall. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where there will be a viewing Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Interment will be in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to Seasons Hospice Foundation, 133 North Bridge Street, 3rd Floor, Elkton, MD 21921.
