Kathryn Marie (Gamble) Grubb

K. Marie Grubb, 94 of Bay View, near North East, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in the Christiana Care, Union Hospital, Elkton, MD.

A lifelong resident of North East, she was born July 27, 1928, the daughter of the late John W. and Martha Elizabeth (Williams) Gamble.  Marie was the beloved wife of the late William Edison “Eddie” Grubb who passed July 1, 2010.

She was a retired teacher’s aid from Cecil County Public Schools.  Formerly she had worked for security at Hercules and was always a loving, caring homemaker for her family.

Marie was a member of Shelemiah United Methodist Church, Bay View, where she was a longtime member of the United Methodist Women.  She enjoyed reading, being outside gardening and watching hummingbirds and butterflies.

Survivors include her daughters: Cindy Hamilton (John) and Pam Grubb all of North East, MD; grandchildren: Jill Humphries (Joe) of North East, MD, Kelly Justus (Clark) of Rising Sun, MD, John W. Hamilton (Heather) of North East, MD; and great grandchildren: Emily, Owin, Sophia, Trevor and Jacob.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.  Rev. Sherwood McGrath will officiate.

Interment will follow in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shelemiah United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.
