Kathleen (Grubb) Owens

Kathleen Grubb Owens, 97 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Monday, December 19, 2022.

Born in Battle Creek, NE, on April 4, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Claude S. and Phoebe S. (Cornett) Grubb.  She was the wife of the late Alfred M. Owens who died on February 2, 2005.

Mrs. Owens was a secretary, employed by Perry Point VA Medical Center, retiring after 23 years.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening and yard work. But mostly she enjoyed her grandchildren. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church, North East, MD.

Survivors include her children: Michael A. Owens (Donna) of Conowingo, MD; Sharon Alexander of North East, MD; and Charlotte Graustein of Wilmington, DE; also 7 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am.

Rev. Ken Hall will officiate.

Interment will follow service in Friends Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
