Kathleen Mary Dean

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Kathleen “Kathy” Mary Dean, 80, of North East, MD. She passed away peacefully on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Christiana Care Hospital.

Born in Elkton, MD, on January 12, 1946. She was happiest surrounded by her kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Kathy was a source of comfort, laughter, and unconditional love, where everyone was always welcome. She had a special gift for nurturing children and found great joy in caring for them. Her kind heart left a lasting impression on every life she touched. Kathy also enjoyed playing bingo and card games with her closest friends; she treasured these times, creating lasting memories.

She will be remembered for her strength, caring, and unwavering love. Her legacy lives on in the generations she helped to raise and in the countless lives she touched.

Kathy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Gil Dean.

She is survived by her three children, Freddie Goudy Jr. of North East, MD, Benjamin Goudy of Elkton, MD, Eugene Dean of Clayton, DE; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
