June Hawkins Lowe, 67 of Elkton, MD, died Saturday, June 3, 2006 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Newark, DE, on September 7, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ray and the late Ruth McCreary Hawkins. June was a native of North East, MD and Newark, DE; she graduated from Newark High School where she was the valedictorian for the class of1955. She was loved and remembered for her extraordinary artist abilities, creative writing skills, love for animals, the arts, and above all her unselfish love for those lives she touched. She was a Bookkeeper, employed by First National Bank Of North East. Survived by her husband: Charles D. Lowe, Daughter: Deborah R. Lowe of Bel Air, MD. Sister: Barbara Sumpter of New Castle, DE and Brother: Daniel Hawkins of Galena, MD Niece, Rebecca Tucker of Newark, DE; Niece, Tammy Railsback of Wilmington, DE. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 9, 2006 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where family and friends may call on Thursday evening from 6 PM to 8 PM. Reverend Glenn Bromwell will officiate. Interment Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
