Julia Cecelia Liburdi

Julia Cecelia Liburdi, 94, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

Born on October 12, 1931, in New York, Julia was the daughter of the late Vincent S. Suppa, Sr. and Delfina Balletto Digiovanni. A devoted homemaker, Julia found her greatest happiness inbeing surrounded by the people she loved. Julia always had a hug for anyone she met.

Julia was a kind and caring woman whose warm smile and gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She cherished her family and friendships and especially enjoyed spendingtime with the people who were important to her. Her compassion, quiet strength, and genuine love for others were evident throughout her life and will be deeply missed.

Julia was a longtime member of the VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary in Elkton, Maryland. She enjoyed yard sales, visiting with friends, and being a familiar, friendly presence in her local community.

Julia had a special love for her dogs. She leaves behind her beloved dog, Skippy, who has provided her companionship in the last few years. Julia will be lovingly remembered by her family, especially her many nieces and nephews. Her nephews, Troy Suppa (Trish) and Benny Suppa, Jr., worked hard to ensure Julia was able to remain in her home and transporting her to doctor appointments. Her niece, Carlette Vaughn, with whom she went on weekly outings, and her devoted nephew, Butch Garrison (Vicki), who dedicated their time to ensure Julia was well taken care of, had what she needed, and was transported her to many doctor appointments. She will also be fondly remembered by her extended family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched throughout the years.

In addition to her parents, Julia was predeceased by her longtime companion of 48 years, Billy E. Roark, brothers: Vincent Suppa, Jr., Roger Suppa, Benedict Suppa, Sr and sister, Josephine Jarvis.

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, from 09:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Chris Karschner officiating.

Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

Julia leaves behind a lifetime of treasured memories and a legacy of kindness, love, and friendship. It is often the smallest moments, a familiar smile, a shared conversation, a favorite tradition, that become the memories we hold closest. Those memories, along with the love Julia gave so freely, will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
