Julia Marie Blanton

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Julia Marie Blanton, age 86, who left us on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Born on July 26, 1939, in Youngstown, OH, she was the daughter of the late Jackson and Gladys (Burr) Griffith. She was the beloved wife of the late John R. Blanton. Julia lived a life rich with love, creativity, and cherished memories.

Julia will be lovingly remembered by her children, daughters, Jane Devine and Joy Hancharick (John), and son, John Blanton (Milagro), as well as the unofficial adopted daughter, Kimberly McKnight (Ralph) . She delighted in the joys of life with her eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, whose laughter and love brought her immeasurable happiness.

A passionate collector, Julia found joy in decorating her dollhouse, transforming it into a window of wonder and imagination. Her love for the arts shone brightly through her singing, particularly her fondness for opera, a passion she nurtured during her school years. Julia's knack for creativity was matched only by her warm heart and generous spirit.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a Celebration of Life for Julia at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD on Sunday, September 7, 2025, beginning at 1:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2:00 pm.

As we gather to celebrate Julia's remarkable life, we will honor her legacy of love, creativity, and deep connections with those she cherished. She will be missed, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
