Judith Elizabeth Veasey Johnson

Judith Elizabeth Veasey Johnson, age 39, of Havre de Grace, MD, peacefully surrounded by her loving family, went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in Houston, TX. Born on September 24, 1968 to Ralph and Judith Veasey of North East, MD, Elizabeth's most important accomplishment was as a mother and a wife. Nothing was more important than her children and her husband. She strived to make everyday better for those she loved. She was an integral part of the community that loved her and that she loved so much. Elizabeth was a graduate of North East High School, Salisbury State University, and Loyola College. She was an Elementary School Teacher and Guidance Counselor with the Cecil County Public School System for many years. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church of North East. Her faith, kindness and generous nature touched so many individuals, leaving an indelible mark in their hearts forever. Elizabeth was an upstanding citizen who will always be remembered for being a genuine, nurturing and loving person. She possessed a certain knack for knowing what to say or do to make someone feel better. Elizabeth took her responsibilities as a friend and family member very seriously, always putting the needs of others before her own. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, courage and compassion and will always serve as an inspiration to those fortunate enough to have known her. In addition to her parents, survivors include her loving husband Chris Johnson; Daughter Taylor Johnson; and Son Liam Johnson all of Havre de Grace, MD; her brother Ralph T. Veasey III and his wife Eunice of North East, MD. She is also survived by so many friends and family who were touched by her loving spirit and selfless manner. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Sandy Cove Ministries, Chesapeake Auditorium, 60 Sandy Cove Road, North East, MD, with visitation for family and friends on Monday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
