Judith C. Bibey, 70 of North East, MD, peacefully went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, March 18, 2007 in the Union Hospital Of Cecil County, Elkton, MD, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Born in Wilmington, DE, on June 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and the late Blanche Sibley Colmery. Mrs. Bibey was the wife of Charles L. Bibey, North East, MD. She grew up in Elesmere, DE and was a graduate of Conrad High School. She spent her summers at Red Point Beach, meeting her future husband in North East. She married Charles in 1959. Judith's first job was at the DuPont Plant, Chestnut Run. In the 1970's she worked as a teacher working with mentally challenged children in Cecil County. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North East for 45 years, where she taught Sunday School, enjoyed singing in the choir and was involved in Women On Mission. In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two sons: David C. Bibey and his wife Wendy C. of North East, MD and Wayne L. Bibey and his wife Tara D. of Conowingo, MD; a sister: Carol Sakers and her husband Norman of Millsboro, DE; 5 grandchildren: June, Heather, Brittany, Christopher and Nick; 1 great-granddaughter: Rebecca; 2 nieces, 1 nephew and several great-neices, great-nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 24, 2007 at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church Of North East, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Friday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Rev. Dr. Stephen Hokuf will officiate. Interment will be in State Line Baptist Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be sent to First Baptist Church Of North East, Att: Memorial Contributions-Women On Mission, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, MD 21901.
