Joyce (May) Buckland

Joyce Buckland, 69 of North East, MD, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021.

Born in White Sulphur Springs, WV, on January 13, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Stanley May and the late Betty (Sydenstricker) Cleary.  She was the wife of the late Jerry Ray Buckland, Sr. who passed on January 29, 2014.

Joyce is survived by her children: Curtis L. Buckland, Sr. of North East, MD, Jeanie Lou Buckland-Jones of Port Deposit, MD; a sister: Mary Honaker of Bull Gap, TN; two brothers: Kenny May of North East, MD and Ernest May of Port Deposit, MD; two brother-n-laws: Jimmy Buckland of North East, MD and Larry Buckland of Port Deposit, MD; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, Joyce was also preceded in death by her son: Jerry Ray Buckland, Jr.; three sisters: Anna Morrison, Alice Musick and Bertha Andrews; her brother: Roy May; a deceased younger brother; two sister-in-laws: Judy Sharp, Freda Fay May; and two brother-in-laws: Claude Buckland and Rodger Buckland.

Funeral service will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
