Joshua Seth Hamilton

Joshua Seth Hamilton, 31 of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2023 in Newark, DE.

Born in Newark, DE, on September 29, 1991, he was the son of Laura E. (Robinson) and the late Daniel C. Hamilton, Sr.

Josh attended North East High School and Cecil College.  He played soccer for many years as a youth and teenager in travel leagues and high school, and played lacrosse during his senior year.  He met many great coaches and friends along the way.

He began working in aviation maintenance with his grandfather at Cecil Aero Service.  He went on to work for Savaren Corporate Aircraft Services, followed by Warbirds of Delaware, traveling with the team to support and crew at the Reno Air Races.  Most recently he was a Maintenance Supervisor for Walan Specialty Construction Products in Wilmington DE.

Josh loved to spread laughter and was always the entertainer.  He enjoyed boating on the Elk River, shooting skeet with his brother and grandfather, attending the Men’s Group at Freedom Church, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Joshua is survived by his mother and stepfather: Laura E. Hamilton and Stan Hormanski Jr.; siblings: Jeremy (Sara) of Newark, DE; half-siblings: Daniel (Diana) of Elkton, MD; and Deanna (Brandon) of North East, MD; nephew: Rhys Hamilton; and maternal grandparents: Roger and Carol Robinson.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Albert and Naomi Hamilton.

Funeral services will be held at Elkton United Methodist Church, 219 E. Main St, Elkton MD at 11am on April 13th with visitation at 10am.
