John D. Spence
John D. Spence, 86 of North East, MD, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Dugspur, VA, on June 25, 1920, he was the son of the late George Hilton and the late Martha Lee Cain Spence. Mr. Spence enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He owned and operated Spence's Lunch in North East, MD for many years. Survivors include: Two daughters: Mary Lou and Jimmie Darlene; two sisters: Betty Blum, Frankie Horton and one brother: Jack Spence. Interment was in the Spence Family Cemetery in Dugspur, VA.
