John Hobart Rea, Sr.

John H. Rea, 62 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, November 2, 2005 peacefully in his own home. Born in, North East, MD, on August 18, 1943, he was the son of the late John N. and the late Zora Mae Guthrie Rea. He was employed by General Motors where he was an industrial engineer. He served 30 years before retiring. Mr. Rea was a member of the St. John's United Methodist Church in Charlestown MD. He also enjoyed wood working and riding his golf cart. John valued the quiet serene roads of Pennsylvania by going for drives in his spare time. He enjoyed spending time with his 6 grandchildren as well. Mr. Rea is survived by his wife of fourty years: Barbara Rea, Charlestown, MD Children: Donna Sue Joyner and husband Dave, Elkton, MD John H. Rea, Jr., Elkton, MD Tonia J. Rea and her fiancee' Leslie Patterson, Charlestown, MD Siblings: Wanda Hendrickson, Clavert, MD Audrey Siple, Charlestown, MD Rodney Rea, Elkton, MD Richard Rea, North East, MD 6 Grandchildren: Miranda, John III, Kelsey, Bryce, Kalie and Leslie twins Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2005, at the Crouch Funeral Home, where friends and family may call from 1:00 PM untill 2:00 PM.
