John W. Palmer, Jr.

John W. Palmer, Jr., 51 of Calvert, MD, died Sunday, December 14, 2008 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Elkton, MD, on March 6, 1957, he was the son of John W. Palmer, Sr. of Charlestown, MD and the late Betty Evelyn Harry Palmer. He was a Nurse, employed at Laurelwood Care Center, Elkton, MD. He was an avid collector. Survived by his wife: Lela Palmer of North East, MD and four sons: Andrew, Matt, and Phil Backert all of White Marsh, MD, Nick Backert of North East, MD; and one brother: Dale Palmer of Elkton, MD. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Janes United Methodist Church, 213 North Walnut Street, Rising Sun, MD. Rev. James Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
