John J. Mulholland

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of John J. Mullholland, a beloved father, dedicated worker, and proud veteran. John peacefully departed this world on May 31, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.

Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, on September 10, 1929, John lived a life characterized by unwavering commitment. He devoted many years to serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, embodying the true spirit of valor and duty. After returning home, John channeled his work ethic into his career at Star Enterprise, where he excelled as a supervisor at the oil refinery in Delaware City. His guidance and dedication inspired many, leaving an imprint on the lives he touched.

John was a pillar of support not only in his profession but also as a father. He is survived by his cherished sons: David Mulholland (Margret) of Mystic Island, NJ, Tim Mulholland (Christine) of Oxford, PA, and Dale Mulholland of Etters, PA. Who all carry his values of perseverance, compassion, and kindness. Each son reflects a part of John’s enduring spirit, and together they honor his memory. John is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by his loving cat sidekick, Mr. Maggie.

John was preceded in death by: his loving wife, Margaret Peggy Booth Mullholland, and his parents, Anna Kane Mullholland and Joseph Henry Mullholland.

John's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the quiet strength that comes from a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed, yet the memories of his warmth and wisdom will forever reside in the hearts of those who knew him.

Funeral services will be held in John's honor, celebrating his remarkable life and the legacy he leaves behind. Friends and family are invited to gather together in a shared act of remembrance, where stories will be told and love will be exchanged, as we bid farewell to a dear soul who brought light into our lives. A viewing will take place on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with a service to follow at 11 AM. With interment to follow at Edgewood Memorial Park, 325 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, PA.
