John E. Isaacs

John E. Isaacs, 64 of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Elkton, MD, on June 1, 1960, he was the son of the late Otis L. Isaacs, Sr. and Sarah Virginia (Manlove) Isaacs.

John worked at Maryland Portable for 25 years as a truck driver. He was a lifetime member of North East Fire Company.

You could always find him after work at WaWa having coffee with his sister, Mary.  After his brother Otis passed away, he called his sister, Ginny every day to see how her day was.  He liked taking trips to Lancaster, PA, and eating at Yoder’s Buffet whenever he had the chance.  He enjoyed listening to country and bluegrass music.

He loved his many nieces and nephews and enjoyed getting together for family celebrations at Mary and Mack’s. John will be greatly missed by his family.

Survivors include two sisters: Virginia "Ginny" D'Auito (Carl) of Newark, DE and Mary Jane Johnson (Mack) of North East, MD; cousin: Gary Manlove of CO; aunt: Janet "Sis" Hammer of North East, MD; sister-in-law: Dollie Isaacs of North East, MD; nieces and nephews: Bryan Johnson, Sarah Christine, Otis Isaacs, III, Jeff Isaacs, Robin McCann, Lisa Calvin; and many great nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by his beloved black lab: Hemi.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother: Otis L. Isaacs, Jr.; and longtime companion: Stephanie Reynolds.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 16, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.

The family would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Christiana Care Hospital, ICU and Stepdown Unit for their care and support.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to North East Fire Company, in care of the funeral home.
