John Allen Crouch, Jr.

John Allen Crouch, Jr., 95 of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, June 28, 2019 at home.

Born in Kennett Square, PA, on April 5, 1924, he was the son of the late John Allen, Sr. and Margaret Teresa (Finn) Crouch.

He retired from DuPont, but he loved farming and his son Donald’s stories about farming. Mr. Crouch enjoyed sports, fast cars and of course ice cream and cookies. He was a collector of Lionel trains and Hess trucks. If there was an “Ornery Club” he would have been the president!

John proudly served his country in the Army-Air Corp during World War II.

Survived by his wife: Shirley May (Raybuck) Crouch; two daughters: Sharon Margaret Vickers of Bristol, TN and Karen Rita Welkom of Catawissa, PA; and one son: Donald Allen Crouch of Fair Hill, MD; five grandchildren and a great granddaughter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild and his siblings.

Funeral service will be held Friday, July 5, 2019 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation one-hour prior.

Interment will follow services in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
