Joe Dean Stewart

Joe Dean Stewart, 71 of Bear, DE, died suddenly Monday, January 22, 2007 at home. Born in Hickory, NC, on July 13, 1935, he was the son of the late Ted and the late Lela Presley Stewart. Mr. Stewart was the husband of Ellen Snow Stewart of CO. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a welder employed by R.C. Fabricators. In addition to his wife, survivors include: two sons: Richard L. Stewart of Lawrenceburg, TN, David J. Stewart of North East, MD; two sisters: Janice S. Jackson of Bear, DE, Gail C. Ess of Landenberg, PA and one brother: William T. Stewart of Conowingo, MD; 4 grandsons: Richard L. Stewart, Jr., Michael R. Stewart, William F. Walker, Daniel Stewart; 5 granddaughters: Tonya Chapman, Jennifer Stewart, Bonnie Woods, Connie Walker and Daphne Fralix. He is also survived by 3 great-grandsons and 6 great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service.
