Joann Grace (Kille) Porter

Joann Grace Porter, 91 of Frostburg, MD, formerly of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024.

She was born in Penns Grove, NJ, on April 21, 1932.

Joann was blessed with the heart of a homemaker through and through.  Her hobbies included crocheting and gardening.  She loved crocheting blankets for her family and friends, and could keep any plant in the world alive.  She had the greenest of thumbs.

Joann was a member of the Jehovah Witness faith since 1963. She was a devoted servant in her faith.

She is preceded in death by her husband: Nathan W. Porter of Port Deposit; her parents: Joseph and Louise Kille of Chesapeake City; a brother: Frederick Kille of Cherry Hill; her daughter: Grace Huss; and a grandson: Timothy White.

Joann is survived through her brother: Wayne Kille of Raphine; sister: Cleo Foose of Middletown. She is also survived through her kids: William Porter, Patricia Payne and Johnathan Porter; 5 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.

Funeral service will be held Monday, January 29, 2024 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am.

Interment will follow services in Hopewell Cemetery, Port Deposit, MD,
