Joan Margaret (Trout) Abel

Joan Margaret Trout Abel, 92 of Elkton, MD passed away November 9, 2023.

Born Sept 10, 1931 in Columbus, OH, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Margaret Trout. Joan is predeceased by her husband Richard L Abel.

Joan lived in Elkton, MD the last 40 years in a lovey log cabin overlooking the head of the Chesapeake Bay.  Her favorite pastime included masterful quilt making, hummingbird watching on her back porch and watching her great grandchildren play sports.

Joan is survived by her 4 grown children: ( Richard, Robert, Rock Abel and Randee Abel Hartzell), her partner of 35 years: Joseph McKinney and has 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
