Jerry P. Shaw

Jerry P. Shaw, 76 of North East, MD, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bradford, PA, on July 25, 1934, he was the son of the late Lineal P. and the late Mary E. Redmond Shaw. Mr. Shaw was the beloved husband of 30 years of Catherine D. Shaw of North East, MD. Mr. Shaw retired with 21 years of service in the U.S. Armed Forces. He served 10 years in the U.S. Navy and 11 years in the U.S. Army. He was a Life Member of V.F.W. Post #6027, North East, MD and also of American Legion Post 135 Perryville, MD. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children: W. Lineal Shaw of Chesapeake, VA, Margaret Elizabeth Shaw of TN and Sandra A. Shaw of TX; his stepchildren: Catherine Elaine Myers of Baltimore, MD, Ernest L. Gentry of Tampa, FL, Charlie Gentry of Baltimore, MD and David L. Gentry of North East, MD; 7 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday afternoon, from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM.
