Jean Kranch

Jean Kranch, 80, of Jefferson, NC, died Tuesday, March 1, 2005, in North East, MD, surrounded by her family. Born in Lansing, NC, on November 9, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Betty Miller Davis. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, the Late Robert Kranch, who died in 1986. Mrs. Kranch and her late husband, Robert, restored vintage houses. She was a member of the Eastern Star; she had an appreciation for antiques; enjoyed cooking; and loved animals. Survivors include her brother, Edward Davis of Gumboro, DE; nieces and nephews; and her great-nieces and nephews. A private service will be held at a later date in North Carolina. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society, c/o Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD 21901.
