Jane Pratt Wood

Jane Pratt Wood, 104 of North East, MD, died Monday, January 19, 2009 in the Calvert Manor Healthcare Center, Rising Sun, MD. Born in Elk Neck, MD, on July 9, 1904, she was the daughter of the late John and Jennie Pratt Futty. Mrs. Wood, a homemaker, was a lifetime member of Hart's United Methodist Church, Elk Neck, MD. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, flowers, and mostly her family. Survived by four daughters: Mary Jane Fogg of Wilmington, NC, Nancy A. Ball of North East, MD, Shirley J. Worden and her husband Dexter of Newark, DE, Catherine W. Pickens and her husband Neil of North East, MD one son: Allan C. Wood and his wife Kay of Newark, DE. Daughter-in-law: Evelyn Wood of North East, MD and a half-sister: Anne Futty of Elkton, MD. She was also survived by 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wood is predeceased by her Husband, Thomas S. Wood, Sr., Sons; Thomas S. "Buddy" Wood, Jr. and John S. Wood, Half-sister, Dorothy Reynolds, and her grandson, Gregory Worden. The funeral service, conducted by Rev. Beverly Lewis, will be held Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD where family and friends may call after 10:00 AM. Interment will be in Hart's Cemetery, Elk Neck, MD. The Wood family would like to thank Calvert Manor Healthcare Center for there extraordinary loving care they provided for our mother.
