James Walker

James Walker, 85 of Marathon, FL, died Wednesday, November 9, 2005 at the home of his daughter in North East, MD. Born in Neva, Tennessee, on June 11, 1920, he was the son of the late Louis Vonnie Walker and the late Carrie Lee Hawkins Walker. He was a retired co-owner along with his brother of Walker Oil Co., Nottingham, PA. Mr. Walker was a talented carpenter, who constructed 5 of his own traveling trailers. He valued the serene sky by flying his own plane in his spare time. He also enjoyed fishing. James is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Hackney Walker who passed August 31, 2003. Survived by his children: Brenda Sommers, North East, MD Sandra Moya, San Diego, CA Patricia Ingram, Darlington, MD Brother: Worley Walker, West Palm Beach, FL 11 Grandchildren 11 Great-grandchildren Rev. Dr. Stephen Hokuf, First Baptist Church of North East will officiate. Memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2005 at 11:00 AM, at the First Baptist Church Of North East, 206 Mechanics Valley Road, North East, Maryland. Interment will be private.
