James Matthew "Matt" Sexton, Sr.

James Matthew “Matt” Sexton, Sr. , 51 of Elkton, MD, died Friday, April 8, 2016 at home.

A lifelong resident of Elkton, he was born on October 27, 1964, the son of Cheryl A. (Stiltner) Sexton of Elkton, MD and the late Andrew B. Sexton.

Matt, who was self-employed, enjoyed boating with Jim, fishing, operating heavy equipment, doing mechanic work, fixing and repairing anything, cutting and splitting wood.

He is survived by his domestic partner: Michelle Harrington of Elkton, MD; son: James Matthew Sexton, Jr. of Pinellas Park, FL; stepsons: Eric Thomas Harrington and Justin Bryan Harrington both of Elkton, MD; four brothers: Andrew B. Sexton, Jr. (Geraldine) of Lumberton, NC, Joseph L. Sexton (Bessie) of Elkton, MD, Jonathon D. Sexton (Trish) of Elkton, MD, and Daniel I. Sexton (Jinelle) of Zion, MD.

Matt is also preceded in death by his brother: Mark T. Sexton.

Friends may call Wednesday, April 13, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
