James A. Reeves, Sr.

James Arthur Reeves Sr., 67 yrs, of Rising Sun, MD, went home to be with the Lord and “unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels”, Saturday, June 15, 2013.

Jay was born November 20, 1945, in Elkton, MD, and he was the son of the late James Herbert and Ethel Irene Sharon Reeves.

Jay is survived by his son: Pastor James A Reeves Jr., of Rising Sun, MD and his daughter: Tracy Lynn Norris of Rising Sun, MD; 6 grandchildren; brothers: Mark Tracy Reeves, Gilbert Laverne Reeves, all of Maryland; sisters: Gail Lynn Ewing, Martha Jean Conner, Robin Ellen DeSmith, Donna Kay Cebula, all of Maryland and Della Mae Copper of Florida.

In addition to his parents, Jay was preceded in death by his wife: Stella Jean Reeves; his sister: Carol Lee Reeves Phipps; his brother: Gary Wayne Reeves; and sister: Trudy Kay Hill.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, June 21, 2013, 10 A.M. viewing and 11:00 A.M service at Crouch Funeral Home in North East, MD.

Pastor Jim Reeves of State Line Baptist Church of Rising Sun, MD, will officiate.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
