James T. "Tippy" Poore, Jr.

James T. “Tippy” Poore, Jr., 74 of North East, MD, passed away at home Friday, February 16, 2024.

Born in Elkton, MD, on December 18, 1949, he was the son of the late Agnes (McLennan) and James T. “Jimmy” Poore, Sr.

He was a commercial fisherman and also a Union Carpenter from Local 626, Delaware.

Tippy enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, playing poker and dominoes. He enjoyed his time with friends and family, especially his dog, Goose. Tippy loved a good crab feast.

He is survived by his sons: Craig Poore, James T. Poore, III and Jon Phineas Poore (Carrie) all of North East, MD; and brother: Jeffrey P. Poore.

In addition to his parents, Tippy was preceded in death by his siblings: Wayne Lee Poore and Nancy Lynn Dabler; and his grandson: James T. Poore, IV.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
