James Allen Perry

James Allen Perry, 71 of Galax, VA, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Forsyth Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC.

Born in West Jefferson, NC, on October 7, 1945, he was the son of the late James Woodrow and Dorothy (Hamm) Perry.  He was the husband of the late Helen Marie Perry who passed on July 11, 2003.

Prior to his retirement, Mr. Perry was a teamster, working for Chrysler over 30 years.

A good father, he was devoted to his family.  His enjoyment in life came from them.

Survivors include his three sons: Edward A. Perry (Shelly) of Bear, DE, James F. Perry (Mechel) and David R. Perry (Denise) all of Elkton, MD; seven grandchildren: Nathan, Justin, Devon, Joshua, Jordan, Brittney and Madison; his step grandson: Daniel; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests on Tuesday evening, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Interment will follow services in Mt. Erin Cemetery, Havre de Grace, MD.
