James J. Maziarz, 70, of North East, MD and formerly of Eatontown, NJ, passed away on January 23, 2022 after an illness.
Jim was born in Utica, NY in 1951 and graduated from Hartwick College in 1973. He moved to Eatontown in 1977 and worked for the Department of the Army at Fort Monmouth. Jim met his wife Kathleen while working on post. He ended his federal career at Aberdeen Proving Ground after 38 years of service, including 3.5 years in Worms, Germany.
Jim was a huge Boston Red Sox fan, practiced photography, and enjoyed watching episodes of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.
Jim is survived by his wife, Kathleen, children, Patrick (Kathy), Seamus (Jordanna), and Caitlin (Scott), granddaughter Sloane, niece Kerry (Will) and grandnieces and grandnephews, Lauren, William, Colin, and Deirdre. He is also survived by his beloved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Maeve and Jasper.
Family will gather for a private celebration of Jim's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's memory to The Jimmy Fund via www.jimmyfund.org/gift .
