James Aubrey Martin, Sr.

James Aubrey Martin, Sr., 71 of Charlestown, MD and Vero Beach, FL, died suddenly Saturday, April 4, 2009 at home. Born in Wilmington, DE, on September 23, 1937, he was the son of the late John Aubrey and the late Gertrude Barryman Martin. Mr. Martin was the 2nd generation owner and operator of Charlestown Manor Beach, Charlestown, MD. He enjoyed family, boating, driving his tractor and all of his friends at Charlestown Manor Beach Campground. Survivors include his wife: Dorothy M. Martin of Charlestown, MD and Vero Beach, FL; two children: Brenda Elizabeth Martin of Lewes, DE and James A. Martin, Jr. of Elkton, MD; two stepdaughters, Lisa M. Riffey and Peggy J. Riffey, both of Vero Beach, FL; a sister, Shirley Garland of Middletown, DE; his grandchildren: Sara Elizabeth Martin of Elkton, MD and Jason Riffey of Vero Beach, FL; and a great grandson, Andrew L. Riffey. Visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, April 11, 2009 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
