It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of James Edward Jianniney Jr., who left us on December 21, 2025, at the age of 60. Born on August 6, 1965, in Elkton, MD, Jim, as his friends and family knew him, spent his life brightening the days of those around him with his infectious personality and passion for the classic things in life.
Jim was a proud facilities maintenance worker at the University of Delaware, holding a high school diploma and investing his hard work in the field of education. He had a special affection for hot rod magazines, old Westerns, classic cars, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. His passion for everything classic reflected his spirited soul and joyful attitude. He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughter Rachel Harmon (Vinson), of Earleville, MD, sons James Jianniney III, of CA, Jamie Horne (Bonnie) of North East, MD, Brian Horne (Nada), of Newark, DE, Shawn Ring (Michele), of North East, MD as well as his daughter Denise Landgrebe (Dan), of Leeport, PA. He is also survived by his mother, Phyllis Jianniney, of North East, MD, sister, Nevada Jianniney, brother Matthew Jianniney, both of North East, MD, brother-in-law Thomas Biederman (Vicki) of Fort Payne, AL., sister-in-law Trina Biederman of Elkton, MD., and many nieces and nephews. Jim enjoyed the love of many grandchildren, 19 in total, and 4 great-grandchildren, who will always remember him for his warm heart and sense of adventure. James was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Ann Jianniney, and his father, James E. Jianniney, Sr. Family and friends will gather to remember Jim at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 S. Main Street, North East, MD, for a public viewing on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, where we will celebrate a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
