James Ray Huff, Jr.

James (Jamie) Ray Huff, Jr., born on November 26, 1973, in Morganton, NC, passed away unexpectedly due to injuries from an auto accident on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the age of 51. Known for his hardworking spirit and dedication to his craft, Jamie was a self-employed Mason who took pride in his work and the projects he completed.

Jamie was a man of many passions. He found joy in the great outdoors, whether it was four-wheeling through the woods, riding his motorcycle along scenic routes, or casting a line on peaceful fishing trips. His mechanical skills were unmatched. He had a knack for fixing things, which made him a trusted friend and neighbor.

He is survived by his fiancée, Laura A. Haase of Elkton, MD; his sons, Nicholas Huff (Liane) of Elkton, MD, and Dylan Huff of North East, MD; his cherished granddaughter, Raelynn Huff; his father, James R. Huff, Sr. of Mims, FL; his brother, Christopher Huff of Norton, VA. And his paternal grandmother, Shirley A. Huff of Aberdeen, MD; many aunts and uncles on both sides of the family; along with many cousins.

James was preceded in death by his mother, Margorie Lee (Dalton) Bullock; his son, James R. Huff III, his sister, Nichole Huff, his paternal grandfather, John (UM) Huff, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Ed and Elsie Dalton; many aunts and uncles and cousins as well.

Visitation for James (Jamie) will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. Family and friends are invited to gather together to celebrate Jamie's life, share memories, and reflect on the legacy he leaves behind.
