James Allen Hawkins James Allen Hawkins, age 68 of Elkton, Maryland, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at his home. Born in Elkton, Maryland, on August 28, 1935, he was a son of the late Victor Fielder Hawkins and Mabel Edith Lucille McCreary Hawkins. He was a lifelong resident of Cecil County, Maryland. Mr. Hawkins worked as a printer for the Cecil Whig and the Oxford Press. After leaving the Oxford Press he became a truck driver for Abbott Dairies and Sentman Distributors. He was a proud member of the graduating class of 1953 from North East High School. He was a past member of the North East Lions Club and a social member of the North East VFW. He enjoyed collecting replications of late model cars, calenders with antique vehicles and he enjoyed collecting baseball caps. Mr. Hawkins is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Neary, Wilmington, Delaware, and Nancy Hawkins, Manchester, Massachusetts, two grandchildren; Patrick John Neary, age 9 and Liam Thomas Neary, age 8, both of Wilmington, Delaware, two siblings,<br>Grover L. Hawkins, Elkton, Maryland and Shirley J. Weaver, Rising Sun, Maryland. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Sunday, September 28, 2003 at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, September 27, 2003 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Rev. Boyd B. Etter of the North East United Methodist Church, 308 South Main Street, North East, Maryland.
