James M. Campbell, Jr.

James M. Campbell, Jr., 75 of North East, MD, died Sunday, September 7, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in South Orange, NJ, on March 26, 1933, he was the son of the late James M. Campbell, Sr. and the late Margaret McKenna Campbell. Mr. Campbell graduated from Villa Nova University, Villa Nova, PA with a B.S. and from Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ with a MBA. He retired from McDonald Douglas Boeing, Co. He was a member of St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, North East, MD; Republican Club of Cecil County; Maritime Museum; Literacy Program of Cecil County; and the Cecil County Family Violence Coordinating Council. He enjoyed model boat building, reading and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his loving wife: Dorothy Brady Campbell, of North East, MD; his children: Dorothy C. Dhamer and her husband Peter of North East, MD, Margaret C. Guyott of Shrewsbury, MA, Catherine M. Campbell of Austell, GA, James M. Campbell III and his wife Heather of Acworth, GA, Anne C. Allen and her husband Carl of Dallas, TX, J.W. Brady Campbell and his wife Gwen of Richmond, VA; a sister: Marion C. McCrink and her husband Thomas of Spring Lake Heights, NJ; 15 grandchildren and 7 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Campbell. Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2008 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, September 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude's Roman Catholic Church, 928 Turkey Point Road, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be made to: Immaculate Conception/St. Jude's Outreach Program; Maritime Museum of Havre de Grace; Fair Hill Nature Center or to the charity of your choice, all in care of the funeral home.
