Howard E. Lockard, Jr., 53 of North East, MD, died Saturday, May 5, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Elkton, MD, on October 31, 1953, he was the son of Howard E. Lockard, Sr. and Helen Tester Lockard of North East, MD. Mr. Lockard was the husband of Donna Lockard of Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was a retired contractor, who enjoyed crabbing, fishing, spending outdoor time at his parents and jewelry crafting. In addition to his parents and wife, survivors include: two daughters: Rosalisa Hodgson and her husband Danny of North East, MD, Helen Lockard of Elkton, MD and one son: Howard E. Lockard III of Elkton, MD; three sisters: Jeanie Sizemore, Debbie Lockard Shelley, and Neddie Birney all of North East, MD and two brothers: John Lockard of Elkton, MD and James Lockard of North East, MD. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: James Hodgson, Kelsey Hodgson, Howard Lockard, IV, Michael Lockard, Christopher Pugh, Justin Sullivan and Joshua Sullivan, Kevin, Catherine and Holly Pierce, Christopher Holmes and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John L. Tester, Susie B. Tester, James D. Lockard and Mary E. Lockard and his sisters Linda D. Lockard and Rebecca J. Lockard. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may visit starting at 10:00 AM. Rev.
