Horace William Murray
A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in Union Hospital on May 27, 1932, the son of the late William Jeffers Murray and the late Mary (Sands) Murray Gorman. He was preceded in death by siblings: Harold L. Murray, Sr. and Mary Eldora Carr.
Horace worked in Bay View picking apples and cutting lawns for much of his younger years.
For nearly two decades, he was a member of the Bayside Community Network, attending the Cecil County Activity Center. He enjoyed working at the center, bowling on Fridays with his friends, and going to church.
Horace is survived by his special friend: Judy, another Bayside resident; his loving sister-in-law and advocate: Marcia Murray; lots of nieces and nephews; sister-in-law, Shirley Murray; and his Bayside family. Horace was a friend to all who met him.
Visitation beginning at 1:00pm followed by a funeral service at 1:45pm will be held Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at First Baptist Church of North East, MD. Interment will follow in Friends Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
