Horace Howard Hall

Horace Howard Hall, 78 of North East, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Elkton Rehab Center, Elkton, MD. Born in Rising Sun, MD, on March 5, 1932, he was the son of the late Horace G. and the late Minerva Williams Hall. Mr. Hall was the beloved husband of 58 years of Peggy Hall, North East, MD. He retired from Union Hospital of Cecil County where he worked in maintenance. A member of Union Lodge #48 AF & AM of Elkton, he enjoyed woodworking, crafts, collecting paperweights and flea marketing. Many years ago, he sang in the choir at North East United Methodist Church. He was a member of the All County Chorus when he was in high school. In addition to his loving wife, survivors include his children: Cindy Casper and husband Jim of North East, MD, Ruth Ann Barton and husband Bryan of Oak Harbor, WA and one son: H. Michael Hall of Mt. Airy, MD; a brother: John Hall of Rising Sun, MD; 7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Hall. Memorial services will be held Thursday, August 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. Interment will be private.
