Henry Ray

Henry Ray, 77 of North East, MD, passed away suddenly Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE.

Born in Honaker, VA, on October 22, 1938, he was the son of the late Howard and Ruby (Dye) Ray.   He was the husband of the late Mary Jane Ray who passed on June 6, 2015.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Ray was President, Owner and Operator of Ray Logging Company, North East, MD for 46 years.

Survivors include his three sons: Henry Lawrence Ray, Stanley H. Ray and Scott D. Ray all of North East, MD; one brother: Stewart Dye also of North East; one sister: Betty Pickthorn of Miamisburg, OH; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and 2 more on the way.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD on Sunday, November 22, 2015 from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm and again on Monday, November 23, 2015 beginning at 10:00 am, followed by funeral services, conducted by Rev. Ralph Massie at 11:00 am.

Pallbearers for Mr. Ray will be Jake Allen, Rob Sampson, Kyle Crouse, Matt Ray, Scott D. Ray and Henry L. Ray.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
