Helen S. Ward
Helen S. Ward, 78 of North East, MD, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 in Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. A lifelong resident of North East, she was born on August 11, 1930, the daughter of the late Jesse and the late Essie Nowland Alexander. She was a homemaker and owned and operated Joe's Taxi, North East, MD. Survivors include her loving husband: William J. 'Reds' Ward, her children: Michelle Ward, Billie Jo Benjamin and William J. Ward II all of North East, MD; two sisters: Sara Jane Blake and Marjorie Patchell both of North East, MD; and two granddaughters, Brittany Benjamin of North East, MD and Gwendolyn Ward of Galena, MD. Graveside service will be held Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 10:00 AM at North East Methodist Cemetery, 101 Cemetery Road, North East, MD. Rev. Daniel T. Gedman will officiate.
