Helen Walls Isaacs

Helen Walls Isaacs, 72 of Rising Sun, MD, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the Union Hospital of Cecil County, Elkton, MD. Born in Newark, DE, on May 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clifton and the late Agnes T. Walls. Mrs. Isaacs was a caregiver to Veterans. She enjoyed bird watching, knitting, crocheting, collecting knickknacks, canning, yard sales and traveling. She especially loved her dog, Pepie. Survivors include: three daughters: Mary Brinkman of Perryville, MD; A. Theresa Laird of Elkton, MD; and Betty Lou Laird of North East, MD; her companion, Greg Day of Rising Sun, MD; five brothers: Clifton Walls of Townsend, DE; John Walls of Woodland Beach, DE; George Walls, Ernie Walls and Burt Walls all of Newark, DE; two sisters: Mary Lou Streets of Chestertown, MD; Agnes Duck of Newark, DE; and also 8 grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a half brother, Edward Walls. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 3, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in North East Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
