Heidi Ingerson Barteau, loving mother, wife, and friend, passed away February 19, 2020, after a courageous battle with cancer. She left this world at the age of 60, in her Elk Neck home surrounded by family.

Heidi was born August 13, 1959, to the late Wendell and Grace Ingerson in Elkton, MD. She lived her childhood and the majority of her adult years in North East, MD, and graduated from North East High. Heidi made her career at the former MBNA Bank for nearly 20 years.

Heidi loved her family and friends. ​She also had a fierce love for all animals including her own cats, fish, horses, dogs, and her grand-dogs. You could often find her at Horseshoe Hill Stables and Turkey Point Lighthouse.

Heidi is survived by her husband,​John (Tad) Barteau, her children, Megan Smith and Matthew Griffith, two step-daughters, Nicola Barteau and Jenna Cuza-Barteau, and three grandchildren, Jayren, Kaylee, and Nahla. Heidi is also survived by her brothers, Lonnie Davis, Leon Ingerson, and Wayne Ingerson, and her sister Joyce Fleming. Heidi also leaves behind very special friendships with Lisa Nurnberger and her niece, Abigail Davis.
