Harry Hanson Mahoney, Jr.

Harry Hanson Mahoney, Jr., 72 of Elkton, MD, died Saturday, May 28, 2011 in the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Wilmington, DE, on December 29, 1938, he was the son of the late Harry Hanson and the late Mary Herstine Mahoney. Mr. Mahoney attended the Alexis I. Dupont School and Leeds Elementary School. From 1945-1972 he attended the Opportunity Center in Wilmington, DE. In 1973 he started at the North East River Yacht Club and worked in the kitchen. Survivers include his sister: Ann and husband Malvern Holt; step brother, Joseph Robert Brown; nephew, Ken and wife Lynne Holt; great nephew, Kenny Holt. He was predeceased by his step father, the late Charles T. Brown. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Anne's Cemetery, 315 South Main Street, North East, MD.
