Harry Bradford Gamble, Sr.

Harry Bradford Gamble, Sr., 93 of Bay View, MD, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 at home. Born in Bay View, MD, on July 22, 1914, he was the son of the late John W. and the late Martha Elizabeth Williams Gamble. He was the husband of the late Dorothy Lum Gamble, who died March 25, 1986. Mr. Gamble served during World War II in the Army. He retired as a Nursing Assistant, after 37 years with the Perry Point VA Medical Center. He enjoyed gardening and farming. Survivors include his children: Harry B. Gamble, Jr. and his wife Nancy of Emmittsburg, MD; Ronald Gamble of Owings, MD; Linda Ingerson and her husband Lloyd of Rising Sun, MD; Marietta Beal and her husband Robert of North East, MD; and Shirley Hawkins and her fiancé Sandy of North East, MD; also one sister: Marie Grubb of North East, MD; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where family and friends may call Friday evening, from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. Rev. Sumner Jones will officiate. Interment will be in Bay View Cemetery, North East, MD. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Bay View Cemetery Fund, in care of the funeral home.
