Harry Arthur 'Sonny' Christensen, Jr.

Harry Arthur 'Sonny' Christensen, Jr., 68 of Elkton, MD, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family. A lifelong resident of Cecil County, he was born in North East, MD, on November 19, 1940, the son of the late Harry A. Christensen, Sr. and the late Emma L. Brown Christensen. He served his country in the Army Air Borne during the Vietnam War. For many years, he owned and operated Christensen's Auto Salvage Yard in North East, MD. He was a member of the Lions Club and V.F.W. Post #6027 in North East, MD. He enjoyed demolition derbys and working on cars. Survivors include his wife of almost 10 years: Linda Christensen, of Elkton, MD; four sons: Steven Christensen of Elkton, MD, Arthur Christensen of DE, Harvey Christensen of Charlestown, MD, Eric Christensen of Bel Air, MD; and 4 grandchildren. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, MD.
