Harriet Mary (Coale) Rea

Harriett Mary Rea, 86 of Elkton, MD, died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Rising Sun, MD, on December 16, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Norval and the late Olive (Garvin) Coale.  She was the wife of the late Willard C. "Bunk" Rea who died on April 30, 1997.

Mrs. Rea retired from the Dept. of Aging where she worked as a Receptionist.  She most recently was a greeter at Wal Mart.

She was a member of Janes United Methodist Church, Rising Sun, MD.  There was never a dull moment with her.  She was always smiling, friendly and loved everyone.  She was very thankful for the care and devotion of her loving great-great granddaughters, Dajia , Allegra and Mya Coursey.

Loving survivors include her son: Willard Clinton "Bunky" Rea, Jr. of Laporte, TX; 5 granddaughters: Holly Coursey of Elkton, MD, Valerie McGlothlin of Port Deposit, MD, Natalie Plate of Troy, OH, Harriet Kauffman of Ephrata, PA and Leslie Bryant of Elkton, MD; 1 sister: Ruth Delp of Rising Sun, MD; 20 great grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she also was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law: Susie Rea; 3 brothers: Jack, Buddy and Harvey Coale; and 1 sister: Hazel Lewis.

Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Drew Chastain will be held Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD, where the family will receive guests on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Interment will follow services in North East Methodist Cemetery.

Flowers are welcome or memorial donations may be made to Jane's UM Church, in care of the funeral home.
