Harold Nelson 'Buddy' Trimble, Jr., 77 of Rising Sun, MD, died peacefully Saturday, June 28, 2008 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Harold was born on March 23, 1931 in Eddystone, PA, the son of the late Harold Trimble, Sr. and the late Idalie Edmunson Trimble. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Margaret 'Peggy' Trimble and children: John Trimble and his wife Lea; Helen Trimble; and Harold Trimble III and his wife Deb; three grandchildren: Tyghe Trimble, June Trimble and Richie Thomassen; a brother: Gene Trimble and a sister: Delma Chichester. Harold served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War on the S.S. Montague AKA 98. He retired from Philadelphia Electric Company. Harold taught GED classes at Cecil Community College and was an avid bird carver, golfer, swimmer and a member of the Wilmington Barbershop Quartet and Chorus. He is a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the American Legion Mason Dixon Post #194, Rising Sun, MD. Harold is mourned by family and a legion of colleagues and friends who have had the joy and privilege of sharing his enthusiasm and passion for life over the years. He will be remembered always for his selfless compassion and his loving kindness. Services will be private for immediate family at Crouch Funeral Home, North East, MD. A Life Celebration Memorial open to family and friends will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Harold to the Season's Hospice & Palliative Care of Maryland, 133 Bridge Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
