Harold Eugene Thomas

Harold Eugene Thomas, 78 of Elkton, MD. passed away Wednesday, March 25,2026 at home.

Born in Van Wert, OH. on May 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Olan Eugene and Pearl Lorraine (Gilbert) Thomas.

He served in the Army from 2/27/1976 to 01/01/1990. While serving in the Army he received the Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal (1 Bronze Star) NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and Overseas Service Ribbon.

He was a Manchinist, employed by Cargill before his retirement. He was a member of the Am-Vets, who enjoyed yard work,Grilling, and visiting Home Depot, Spending time with his family and his two dogs "Taffy" and "Brutus" was most important to him.

Mr. Thomas is survived by three daughters: Nicole Smith of Elkton, MD., Michelle Radabaugh of Spencerville, OH., and Miranda DiOrrio of Bear, DE., and one son: Bradley Thomas of Taylorville, IL. Two sisters: Donna Sarff and Darla Franklin, and two brothers Chuck Thomas and Mark Yow both of IL. Also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Mr.Thomas is preceded in death by his wife Brenda J. Thomas and brother Tim Yow. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Crouch Funeral Home P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD. There will be a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM.

Interment, with full military honors, will be in Harford Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen, MD.
