Harold Shea

Harold "Hal" Shea, age 47, of Elkton, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 22, 2005, surrounded by his family and friends at Union Hospital of Cecil County, Maryland. Born in Havre de Grace, Maryland on May 9, 1957, he was a son of J. Harold and Nevada Smith Shea, of North East, Maryland. Hal was employed as a machine tech line operator with Astra Zeneca, Newark, Delaware. He was a lifelong athlete in Cecil County. He began in the North East Little League and participated in the Susquehanna Youth League. He played soccer and baseball at North East High School. Later in years he continued to play at Cecil Community College where he earned All American Juco Honors. He continued to play for Pine Grove and the Chesapeake V.F.W. He recently played for his work team Astra Zeneca and participated in the nationals. He also enjoyed coaching his 2 daughters in the Elkton Little League. In addition to his parents, Hal is survived by his wife of 21 years, Joanna R.Shea, Elkton, Maryland, 2 daughters, Krystal and Jaclyn Shea both at home, 1 brother, Carey Shea and his wife, Katherine, Newark, Delaware, and 2 nieces, Stacy and Lauren Shea. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Crouch Funeral Home, 127 South Main Street, North East, Maryland. Family and friends are invited to visit from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, March 25, 2005, at the funeral home. Rev. Dr. Stephen D. Hokuf of the First Baptist Church of North East, North East, Maryland will officiate. Interment will follow services in Brookview Cemetery, Rising Sun, Maryland. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to, Elkton High School, Girls Athletics, 110 James Street, Elkton, Maryland 21921.
